GRACIAS JON!!!!!!!

El e-mail:
Matias, Its hard to tell how I start a piece, but usually it begins with finding the right poem, or a poem that intriques me or makes me think. I felt this poem contains such a yearning for a feeling of tranquility that is almost heartbreaking. The line "I will make a world...out of the dreams of my lonely mind" speaks to me in a powerful way. I just start to hear melodies and chord progressions in my head and try to dictate what I am hearing, especially the ending. The repetition of the line "stars I shall find" over and over is something that I just "heard" or imagined. I always wrestle with the idea that when I find a great poem like that if my music is "up to the level of the poem" so to speak. I felt that the poem would be great for your group because of the unspoken idea of reaching for another realm and I realized that the meaning of the phrase "Tirn aill" is the "other world". I guess having a lot of Scotch and Irish in my ancestry, we can identify with the Celtic ideas, as we are descended from them.
Thanks for letting me write for your group, I really appreciate the opportunity.
Sincerely,Jon
